Bitmap Monogram

The Bitmap Monogram consists of modular letter construction built on a black and white grid. I began with sketches to quickly discover a working system before moving digitally. During the sketching process, I settled on a more geometric, bold typeface that resembles a more futuristic modern style. The negative space is meant to resemble cords and wires running through the typeface in an organized manner. Responding to feedback from professors and classmates, I refined the design by widening the “M” and adjusting the size of the bowls on the “B”, giving it a simpler look for the final look.
